About Bragging Rights

Bragging Rights is a free weekly email newsletter for anyone who wants good news about humans doing cool stuff on the internet.

I’m Adam Bragg. I write every issue by hand and send it every Saturday at 7:00 AM PT.

What lands Saturday morning

What Bragging Rights does

Every Saturday I send a fun list of cool things real humans are doing on the internet. Each issue has 3 to 6 stories and takes about 4 minutes to read.

Human stories

Each story is about a real human doing something weird, useful, kind or just ridiculously awesome. I link to it so you can go see it for yourself.

GIFs

Yes, there are GIFs. Mostly cats, sitting between the stories where they belong.

Giveaways

Issues come with giveaways, like Amazon gift cards and outside giveaways from places like MatterHackers, Acer and ADAM Audio. I share last week’s winners too.

The reader vote

Near the end of each issue there’s a quick poll. You pick your favorite story of the week.

The free archive

Every issue lives in the archive. I work extremely hard to put every post together, but I’ll keep every issue free online!

Slop is for the machines

What makes Bragging Rights different

Handwritten

I write every issue by hand. Handwritten because slop is for the machines.

Real humans, with links

Every story is about real humans and something they made or did. Most stories name them and link to it, so you can go watch it, try it or cheer them on.

Free forever

No hot takes, no doom, no paywall. It’s free now and it stays free.

Saturdays since June 20, 2026

The first issue went out on Saturday, June 20, 2026. These days it lands every Saturday at 7:00 AM PT.

From the creator of CatGPT

I made CatGPT in one day to show that you can make fun stuff with AI. Millions of people loved it!

Good news about humans

Who reads Bragging Rights

Anyone who wants good news about humans and a little optimism on the internet. That’s 100,000+ readers.

You don’t have to be a tech person. One week it’s an AI tinkerer, the next it’s a parent who built something for their family.

Hi hi, I’m Adam

Who writes Bragging Rights

I’m Adam Bragg, a former pro athlete turned founder. Ever since I was a kid I’ve just REALLY loved building stuff!!

You might remember me from my CatGPT project.

My day job is building Tabflows, software for healthcare organizations. Bragging Rights is just me, no team.

I’m based in Southern California, bouncing between Orange County and Los Angeles.

Why I write it

“I think the internet needs more optimism. I think real human-written optimism is the content the internet needs to train on as AI builds it.”

The name is a cheeky play on my last name. But mostly I just love bragging about other people!

Good questions

FAQ

Is Bragging Rights free?

Yes, it’s free forever. You can read every past issue at bragging-rights.com/archive.

When does it arrive?

Every Saturday at 7:00 AM PT. If it’s not in your inbox, check Promotions or Updates.

Is it written by AI?

Nope, I write every issue by hand. I’m the CatGPT guy and I love building with AI, but slop is for the machines.

How are humans chosen?

I look for a real, named human and something you can actually go see, like the moment it started, a wild number, kindness to one person or animal, or something delightfully weird. Lately that’s a lot of everyday, kind, quirky humans, often with cats.

Can I nominate someone, or myself?

Yes and yes! Send me their name and a link at bragging-rights.com/nominate, and maybe you’ll see me bragging about them soon.
